
Using the old home lab to work on this little combo.It is a Trace Elliot from some time in the 90s. Just a simple little amp with volume and tone control only — two knobs.

Has just a preamp tube, a phase inverter, and two EL84s in push/pull. Bias is extremely hot on this one and will exceed the plate dissipation of most tubes. I added 22 ohms of resistance in series with the 120 ohm cathode bias resistor to tone it down a bit. This amp had an open screen grid resistor on one of the power tubes. Because of this the other tube was redplating badly.
